So, you landed on my blog for some weird reason. Here’s some details about me!
I’m Ruben d’Arco and i was born on in june 1982, which makes me 27 years old at the time of this writing. I live in Veenendaal which is a smallish town between Utrecht and Arnhem in the Netherlands.
Because you came to this blog, you’re probably here because of one of the following reasons:
IT Carrier
You might have come upon this page because of some technical blogpost on K2, SharePoint or Microsoft related. I’m one of the K2 insiders which is a very nice acknowledgment from Sourcecode about my knowledge on K2 products. For me, i mostly know K2 blackpearl which is one of their products.
K2 is a workflow product based on the Microsoft stack of products, that also means i do some C# coding and know my way around SharePoint 2007 and InfoPath.
Where I work
This is where it gets confusing :)
I ended my HBO-study with an internship at Getronics PinkRoccade, which (at that point) was a merge between Getronics and PinkRoccade. Getronics PinkRoccade is only known within the Netherlands, for the rest of the world it was just Getronics. PinkRoccade was an Application company, while Getronics was more a Networking/Infrastructure company. Combining the two gave a very powerful market position.
Getronics then was bought by KPN, which is a telecom provider. KPN then sold the application part of the company (BAS (Business Application Solutions) division). This division was bought by Capgemini and is now operating on its own as Capgemini BAS.
So, in my 2,5 years after my study, i have been working at 3 different companies. And i’m sure it will change again!
Hobby/Free time
You might have also found some posts on R/C cars or photography.
R/C-racing
I picked up the R/C-racing hobby when i got a bit bored of computers all the time. After i started driving on parking lots i soon entered one of the good tracks in the Netherlands that allow Nitro powered R/C cars. I compete in the Dutch 1/10th 200mm championship and together with Bart van der Water we’re the section chairman for that class.
In the winters I run some electric cars, this year was the Carisma GT14, but i also raced the M18 and 1/12th scale pan car. This is mostly for the M-Auto wintercup.
I also mix up work with hobby on www.redrc.net, where i’m helping on the technical stuff (written a wordpress team and a plugin).
Photography
I don’t blog about this very much, but i do like to snap some pictures. It’s combining some technical things like aperture, shutter speed and ISO values to a thing called composition. Besides that, taking photowalks with friends is fun to do and very relaxing!

Hello!
We have lots of common! I work for taxd administration, in Finland. I have worked several years with K2 and Meridio and we have a great system running.
We have K2 as processing BPM and Meridio for records management.
I and my collegues visited Dutch Tax about two Years ago, then they did not have any thoughts about K2, so it is great to see, that they have now!
I think it would be very usefull to change ideas!
