So, last weekend was the last race of the M-auto wintercup ‘06/’07. Last year i’ve driven the cup with an old corally with very old tyres. That was fun, but hard, had lots of trouble with the car and i couldn’t understand where the problems where. But what could i have expected from an old car with very old tyres.
This year a racebuddy starter helping with importing the team CRC cars. So, in the beginning i bought that car which has no t-bar like most 1/12th scale cars do. I’ve had to buy a new ESC for the m-auto cup because they decided to run a 19turn motor. So, basicly i ended up with a completly new car. After building it i had one training sessionwhich went ok.
First race, Heemskerk!
So, on to the first race on the small track of RC speedworld in Heemskerk. Last year went very well there, this year was bad. I couldn’t get the car right and that was all my own driving skills. The last final went good and i didn’t change a lot to the car so, it was all my driving which was frustrating!
Second race, BELIUM!
I really had a blast in belgium, the weekend was so mutch fun! And the race went even beter for me, i ended up in 3th place in the A final, that was nice, the car was superb and i really enjoyed the race. But, fun takes energy, so i was glad Klaas drove home, i actually fell a sleep and woke up 2 hours later without actually knowing i had slept!
Third race, Groningen!
Well, this was groningen, which i could race because i had to go to Berlin on sunday evening.
Last race, Ede
Well, what can i say. I trained on saterday a short time but the car was good. On sunday the car was even beter and i had some great help from Mathijs. It was easy to get in the A final, where i qualified 2nd! I did change stuff for the 2nd and 3th final which didn’t help very mutch, but i must say, i’m happy with the 3th place on the total day final. After that we got a great sponsored lottery where i got a christal protection case. After that came the season standings, where i got in 4th! Something i didn’t expect but did happen, so i’m happy about it!
